Perfect tribute to Tokyo Vice. Criminal how underappreciated it is. Warrior is great too - originally Cinemax, struggled to gain traction but now on MAX and Netflix.

S2E6: I don't believe the Yakuza embrace two Japanese men in bed, butt naked having sex together. I lived in Japan for 10 years, but don't call me an expert. But I am sure producer Watanabe knew that scene would appease the U. S. “diversity” Gestapo.

Great show, fast forward thru the woke and violent scenes. Love Ansel (he's adorable). Great actors all around. I never see it on HBO/MAX Amazon channels so I have to search for it. NEVER would've know about it except for a very brief 5 second ad that I saw.

This is the first I've heard of this show and it's right up my alley. I think your reasons are right as to why they are not marketing it. I will have to check it out!

I cued, and screened it after reading this article; compelling enough I’m now watching season 2.

It is good. I would NOT have known. Totally flew below the radar in my universe.

Worth a watch.

Enjoying Tokyo Vice. Excellent direction, good acting and didn't find the script overall as bad as you think it is. Having watched the first two seasons, was surprised to find it on Max. There are so few overall well done productions, that this one is worth watching.
